Artist's Statement & Bio: Vestments has been the most affordable local source for excellent period clothing (garb) for over ten years. I've been sewing all my life, but the professional line truly started with m retirement from APS rather suddenly one July day. "You need to sew up the fire hazard upstairs," said my husband, as he looked at the fabric bolts that ran floor to ceiling lining my sewing room walls. I have the greatest satisfaction sewing something unique, and my best creations are custom orders, one of a kind special garments, that make the customer truly satisfied. I can make anything you can imagine, from a picture or sketch; creativity invades my dreams. So I hope you will connect your vision with my skills, for something really wonderful this year. Shoppers at the Vestments booth I will be performing throughout the faire on my harp (space#K-7), as well as performing with the Shannachie Harp Circle on Sunday. We play mostly Celtic tunes, but have a wide repertoire of music for any occasion. Shannachie means story teller, or historian, in Gaelic, and we love to give the background history of the songs we know and love.
